As Ender was a Third, this is a First. The first time I have tried to incorporate a blog into my teaching strategies and classroom.

I currently teach Junior High English Language Arts to Grades 7, 8, and 9 students at Stratford School in Edmonton, Alberta. That is 118 students, thank you very much! And they are all awesome!

So why a blog? As awesome as the students at Stratford are, many are strangely silent. Either they have nothing to say (which I don't believe) or they are too afraid or shy to say (which I do believe). I want to provide these students a place to have a say.


Be patient, too. I'm working on report cards right now. I'll be back to this blog in about a week. I'll have even invited a few of you to participate in this adventure.
